Golden Prairie is Manitoba’s ONLY artisanal cheese approved for retail sale. Cheesemakers Rachel Isaak and Dustin Peltier make this distinctive cheese based off of a 17th century recipe that has been guarded by the Trappist Monks for generations and only recently shared outside the Monastery. ⁠
⁠
They have been entrusted with a time-honoured tradition and are struggling to navigate the waters of continuing to bring a heritage product to the forefront of today’s cheese industry. The process of making this cheese is a true labour of love and is not sustainable without our support!⁠
⁠
For the entire month of August, any order for our grab bags, gift boxes and cheese boards will include Golden Prairie as one of the selections. This support is imperative to keep this prairie treasure alive. ⁠
